What People's Say About Place

We used Tacos 1986 for catering my boyfriend’s 40th birthday this weekend (nearly 80 guests!), and the experience exceeded expectations from start to finish. Maura was incredibly helpful coordinating the menu and logistics — responsive, organized, and easy to work with throughout the planning process. On the day of the event, Cesar and his teammate cooked onsite at our friend’s house and were fantastic: communicative, punctual, efficient, and genuinely great to have around during a busy party setup. And the food — WOW. It was an absolute hit. Guests kept going back for more and raving about it all night. It truly elevated the party and made the celebration feel extra special. While Tacos 1986 was at a more premium price point than some other vendors we considered, the quality of the food, flavor, and level of service made it 100% worth it. It felt like a premium experience across the board. Highly recommend for any event where you want food that people will actually remember.

The carnitas and pollo tacos were so good! It's great quality food. Appreciated the nice customer service!

First time here, they’re actually a chain and a few locations. Plenty of parking on the street, no parking lot, metered parking as well. Line moved quickly, small menu, but good choices, very authentic and extremely fresh, watched them make every tortilla by hand. Good flavor, and felt like I was in TJ, good portion sizes. Very friendly and helpful staff, very clean restaurant, not a ton of seating, but it is all outside which was nice, and also seats for kids which was cool to see. Salsa bar had amazing salsa and very clean as well, will return and highly recommend,

Update: The asada tacos are BOMB. The abadoba is dry and unflavorful but this review is on the asada. The tacos are a solid size and with the sauces, it’s all delicious.

Solid tacos considering the area. The tortillas are made fresh. The al pastor was cooked accurately at this location the day I went. It was my favorite protein option there. The salsas were good, especially the Salsa Macha it had a nice flavor and paired well.

We were looking for a taco spot for dinner before a movie. We found Tacos 1986 on Google, then searched all the reviews online. We are SO happy we came here!!! The food was fresh, hot, and DELICIOUS. Antonio was the sweetest! He made us feel like family. We will definitely be back on our next visit to California (and sending all of our Cali friends to dine here in the meantime!).

First time here the tacos were bomb just needs some more meat in them ! Inhaled 3 lol! It was me and my two kids and we paid about $44. It was raining when we went there’s only out door seating , but the did have a heater outside. Pretty quick on the order and customers service was good ! I would come back.

Tacos were a good size and flavorful. Got the chips and a small guacamole. The chips are whole tortillas toasted over the grill not fried which I liked, they also gave a decent amount of guacamole for the small size.
